Mr. Nice Dog Grooming Salon offers various training classes for your pet in both private and group settings: There is the BASIC TRAINING COURSE, the ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE, and the PUPPY TRAINING COURSE. Each course consists of between 8 to 10 sessions.

We also provide the PRIVATE SINGLE TRAINING SESSION for those pet parents looking for specific, targeted training needs. You might want your pet to learn a new skill, or review and fine tune already known skills. The PRIVATE SINGLE TRAINING SESSION can be customized to your exact needs.

In addition, our “HAPPY TIME SOCIALIZATION HOUR” is a great way for your pet to meet and play with other dogs. It is essential that dogs interact with each other, acquire socialization skills and build confidence.

Our trainers are experienced, competent professionals who have trained all breeds of dogs for many years. They know how to effectively train to maximize a dog’s obedience.

Prior to enrollment in a training class, we will conduct an evaluation meeting to access your pet’s training needs and the best approach to reach the targeted goals in an effective and timely manner.

Our training programs are flexible to meet your needs. Group training class size: 3 dogs minimum with a maximum of 6.

Puppy Training Course

This course is designed for puppies 3 months to 6 months and runs for 5 weeks. There are a total of 10 training sessions in the course. Each training session runs for 1 hour. For your pet to receive consistent, impactful training, we suggest that your pet is trained at least twice per week. We will certainly accommodate your personal schedule and adjust a training schedule that meets your requirements. This course requires a pet parent to be present.

The PUPPY TRAINING COURSE consists of the following learned skills:

• Crate basic training
• Common puppy problems: chewing, jumping, play and biting
• Walking manners
• Socialization with foreign objects, people and dogs
• Acceptance of collar
• Walking with leash

Basic Training Course

This course is for dogs 6 months and older and runs for 5 weeks. There are a total of 10 training sessions in the course. Each training session runs for 1 hour. For your pet to receive consistent, impactful training, we suggest that your pet is trained at least twice per week. We will certainly accommodate your personal schedule and adjust a training schedule that meets your requirements.

The BASIC TRAINING COURSE consists of the following learned skills:

• Commands –
”sit”/”come”/”down”/”stay”
• Leash Acceptance
• Socialization with Dogs
• Socialization with People
• Calming and agitation management
• Leash walking /heal without pulling
• Jumping control

Advanced Training Course

This course is for dogs that come to us having the skill set outlined in the BASIC TRAINING COURSE. There are a total of 8 training sessions in the course. Each training session runs for 1 hour. For your pet to receive consistent, impactful training, we suggest that your pet is trained at least twice per week. We will certainly accommodate your personal schedule and adjust a training schedule that meets your requirements

The ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE consists of the following learned skills:

• Off-Leash Commands – “stay”/”sit”/”down”/”heal”
• Off-leash recall
• Confidence building
