Hi! I am Arturo and so thrilled to be joining the team at Nice Dog Grooming Salon.
I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. My father is a farmer there and raises livestock such as cows, horses, and chickens. Growing up on a farm was so amazing, and I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to grow up surrounded by beautiful animals. We also had several dogs as part of my family so it was destined that my career path would involve animal care in some form.
I went on to attend the Superior Institute of Agriculture in Santo Domingo to study farm management with a specialty in food production. I received my degree as a veterinarian and zoo technician.
In 2022 I moved to the United States to expand my professional career. I missed being surrounded by dogs, so I became a dog-walker which made me happy. A short time after, I began working for a boutique dog grooming salon in Boston. At the salon, I started out as a dog bather and shortly after trained to become a groomer. I learned all about proper dog care, from skin and coat maintenance to complete body grooming.
When the opportunity came up to work with Antonio in his new dog salon, I knew this was an amazing opportunity for me to develop my skills and learn from the best!
Hello! I’m Raven and joining Mr. Nice Dog Grooming Salon as a bather. I have been around animals of all shapes and sizes since I was a child. My family owned dogs along with other animals as well including cats, and snakes. Before I moved to Massachusetts I lived in California where I volunteered at a therapeutic horsemanship facility. I cared for horses by brushing and tacking along with leading them during therapy sessions.
Right now, my furry family comprises a beautiful calico cat named Shyla, and Titik, an adorable-but-shy bunny.
Currently, I am volunteering at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton, MA. As a cat care volunteer, I maintain the shelter’s high standards for the care of the animals. I interact with the cats and provide lots of love so that they feel safe and secure. I find it especially rewarding to help socialize shy cats and watch them slowly come out of their shell.
My love for all things animals combined with my interest in beautification has brought me to Mr. Nice Dog Grooming Salon. I have a background in cosmetology which I hope to apply to the various grooming services that the salon will offer. I am so excited to meet your dog!
My name is Ana, and I am so excited to begin working at Mr. Nice Dog Grooming Salon. I have been living in the US now for 20 years after growing up in a small town in Colombia. My love of animals all began when I was a child because my family always had dogs as part of our family. My favorite pet was a Siberian Husky named Toy. He was best friend!
I never thought I would be working at a dog grooming business because in college I attended a fashion school to study design and art. When I graduated I worked for a few fashion houses which was very educational and opened my eyes to the world of business in general.
My career path changed when I met Antonio, the owner of Mr. Nice Grooming Salon, a few years ago. After hearing about his career in working with dogs, a lightbulb went off in my head. I then decided that this was a career path that I wanted to follow. Three years ago, I attended a notable dog grooming school in the US that taught me all about grooming and dog care. I have been training and apprenticing with Antonio for the past 2 years to improve my grooming skills.
I am so excited to be a part of Mr. Nice Dog Grooming Salon. I look forward to meeting my new furry friends and get them happily cleaned and looking beautiful.
