Mr. Nice Grooming, Day Care & Training Policies

Pet Health

  • Health: Dogs that have age-related or any general health issues might not be suitable for our services. We will consult with you regarding the health of your pet prior to the start of any of our services. We require that you provide us with all up-to-date, relevant information with regard to your pet’s current health status. If your pet is under the care of a veterinarian for a specific illness, ailment or condition this must be communicated to us. We have the right to refuse a service if we deem that your pet cannot be properly serviced due to any existing health conditions.
  • Vaccines: Dogs over 4 months old must have proof of a Rabies vaccine along with Bordetella and Distemper vaccines.
  • Sterilization: Dogs over the age of 9 months must be neutered or sprayed.
  • Fleas & Ticks: We maintain a tick/flee free environment. We reserve the right to stop and/or refuse a service if it is determined that your pet has fleas or ticks. If it is determined that your pet has flees and/or ticks while undergoing a service, your pet will be treated to remove the fleas/ticks. You will be responsible to pay for the treatment.
  • Mattes: If your pet arrives matted for a grooming service, additional de-matting fees will apply. Depending upon the severity of the mattes, de-matting might take precedence over all other grooming due to the impact that mattes can have on your pet. If the grooming service that was booked cannot be completed during the scheduled appointment due to the focus and priority of de-matting, we will require that you return for a future visit to complete the service.
  • Age: Dogs must be at least 12 weeks old to receive any of our services.

Pet Behavior

Aggression: Our approach is gentle, loving, and holistic. We want your pet to have the best experience possible in our facility. Our intent is to build a a trusting and lasting relationship with your pet. Due to the nature of the grooming process, or a pet’s tolerance level for stress, strangers and handling, some pets can become anxious or reactive. When a dog demonstrates aggressive and/or uncontrollable behavior they might not be suitable for receiving any of our services. If inappropriate behavior is demonstrated while your pet is already in our facility, we may discontinue the service being provided  if we determine that continuing the grooming service will present a threat to your dog’s emotional or physical health, and/or the safety of the groomer. Service fees will be pro-rated when the service is stopped.

Payment & Pricing

  • The published prices listed on our website for services are subject to change due to your pet’s size, weight, coat length and condition, behavior and requested haircut style.
  • When a grooming service requires more time than originally outlined to complete the selected service, we will contact you immediately before we continue the service to inform you of potential additional costs .
  • Full payment is due when a service is completed.
  • We accept cash, and credit cards (Amex, Discover, MasterCard, Visa)

Grooming Appointment Cancellations

  • If you cancel an appointment within 24 hours of your schedule appointment time you will be charged for the full cost of the service which will be charged automatically to your credit card on file.
  • An Appointment that is rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will not be charged for the service if a future service appointment is made. If the future service appointment ends up being cancelled, you will incur the full cost of the service and be automatically charged to your credit card on file. In this occurrence, we will then require that all future bookings be paid in advance.

Day care and Training Appointments Cancellations

  • Appointment cancellations which occur within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will incur the full cost of the service and be automatically charged to your credit card on file.
  • An Appointment that is rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will not be charged for the service if a future service appointment is made. If the future service appointment ends up being cancelled, you will incur the full cost of the service and be automatically charged to your credit card on file. In this occurrence, we will then require that all future bookings be paid in advance.

Late Fees

  • Appointments arriving 15 minutes past the scheduled service time may have to be rescheduled. If you are running late and will not be able to arrive at your scheduled appointment time, please call us. If you have not arrived within the 15-minute timeframe, your booked service will be considered a “no-show”, and we will automatically charge you for the full amount of the service using your credit card on file.
  • At the beginning of all grooming services, we will communicate the approximate time that your pet will be ready for pick-up. You will receive a call and/or text from us 15 minutes prior to the completion of the service. If you are not on-site after 15 minutes from our confirmed pick-up time, there will be a “pet holding fee” of $1 per minute.

No Shows

“No call/No Show” appointments will be automatically charged to your credit card we have on file.

Communication

There might be times when we have to speak with you regarding the service being provided to your pet. We ask that you be readily available to speak with us while your pet is in our care.
